IMPORTANT INFORMATION
We cannot guarantee that the division in which your child is registered will have competitors on the day of the event. If your child has at least one other competitor in his/her division, the category will run. If your child has no suitable opponent once registration closes, you will be offered a refund.
Where possible, all competitors will fight in their own belt, age and weight division. Competitors may be invited to move up a weight category but will not normally be permitted to move up to a higher belt category. Depending on the number of competitors, White and Grey belt categories, and Orange and Green belt categories may be merged.
Matches may start 30 minutes in advance. We recommend all athletes are at the venue at least 1 hour before the time assigned for his/her division on the timed schedule.
The official weight measurements of this event is in KILOGRAMS.
Any false information provided during registration such as, but not limited to, DOB, may lead to immediate disqualification.
We will try to accommodate as many athletes as possible in our events.
BJJ Nottingham Open Team reserves the right to close registration when we reach full capacity, or on the day of the appointed event registration deadline, whichever comes first.
We strongly suggest that athlete registration is confirmed before making any travel arrangements.

Respect Rule
This event has a zero tolerance policy regarding inappropriate behaviour by coaches, parents/guardians, spectators and competitors.
All in attendance must show some restraint when their students or team mates are competing. There will be competitors and spectators of all ages at this event and we are here to set an example. Any swearing, inappropriate gestures, violence (towards person or property) or berating the officials (regardless of any decisions they make) will not be tolerated.
If this happens, the referee/organiser has the right to disqualify that competitor, or to ask the coach to leave the area. If those concerned do not comply with the referee/organisers request the competitor will be disqualified from the event.
If a coach, parent or team mate encroaches onto the mat, or past any barriers that are in place, or man handles an official in any way, that person will be asked to leave the venue and the whole team will not be permitted to take any further part in the competition.
